Carlin Rejoins TRANZACT as EVP
TRANZACT, a portfolio company of Veronis Suhler Stevenson recently welcomed back Mercer Carlin as executive vice president after an entrepreneurial hiatus.
Carlin began working in the direct marketing industry 15 years ago. She has worked and partnered with David Graf, President and CEO of TRANZACT, and other members of the company’s executive management team over the last 12 years. Carlin left TRANZACT in 2006 to follow her passion for executive coaching, consulting, and leading programs in communication, productivity, and empowerment.
In her new position, Carlin will be responsible for Human Resources and Office Services functions as well as provide executive-level support related to mergers and acquisition integration.
CognitveDATA Expands to Support Growth
Cognitive DATA recently announced the expansion of its corporate headquarters in Little Rock, AR.
Over the next two years, CognitiveDATA will add up to 50 new associates at the expanded location. These positions will include account managers and client leaders; database analysts and software developers; along with strategic consultants and business analysts.

Nasif Named Director of Business Development at MNI
Media Networks, Inc. recently named Michael Nasif director of business development, digital.
In his new position, Nasif will manage efforts to expand business for MNI Digital, the online and email marketing division of MNI, out of MNI’s San Francisco location.
During his three years with MNI, Nasif has served as Northwest district manager acquired important client relationships and sold break-through on-page advertising products, along with assisting developing MNI’s digital initiative.
Previously, Nasif has held positions as managing partner at Anthony Franklin Advertising and founder and president of LoudBurst Media.
StrongMail Launches E-Mail Marketing Blogs
StrongMail Systems Inc. recently launched six new corporate blogs about e-mail marketing.
The new blogs, found at http://www.strongmail.com/blogs, have been contributed by StrongMail executives to provide marketers more information about e-mail marketing.
“Instead of having one particular spokesman, we’ll have lots of people commenting on their area of expertise. So the subject authors will be expert on their topics,” said Tricia Robinson-Pridemore, StrongMail’s VP of market and product strategy.

Online service Hitwise recently announced the enhancement of several new features to its Search Intelligence product, including Paid and Organic and Fast Moving Search Terms data.
The data in the paid organic search reports will allow marketers to identify opportunities and improve the efficiency of search marketing campaigns.
Hartman Promoted to Managing Director-Digital Practice at Harte-Hanks
Harte-Hanks recently announced that Glen Hartman has been promoted to managing director-digital practice.
In his new position, Hartman will oversee all aspects of the agency’s digital practice, including Web site development, online advertising, search engine marketing, e-mail mobile messaging Web analytics and social networking.
Previously, Hartman served as senior VP-digital marketing for database marketing solutions.
EPost Direct Improves Online Reporting System
EPostDirect, an e-mail list management company, recently announced it has added features to its ePDTraxWeb reporting tool in an effort to help online marketers follow and analyze their customer’s preferences and buying behaviors. EPDTrax enables marketers to examine the performance of mailings and compare results while campaigns are still taking place.
