BPA Interactive to Provide Real-Time Data to Publishers Via Widget

The free widget will provide traffic metrics, including daily page impressions and unique browsers.

BPA Worldwide announced today that it will provide real-time data feeds for members participating with “live” data in the BPA Interactive tool. Media owners will receive code for a free Nielsen Online-powered widget that retrieves online traffic data on a daily basis and feeds it directly to the widget display.

The widget will provide traffic metrics, including daily page impressions and unique browsers. Definitions of each metric are available by clicking on an adjacent question mark.

“[The widget] allows publishers to display real-time traffic data directly on their Web sites,” BPA president/CEO Glenn Hansen, said in a statement. “Media owners can post the ‘widget’ in conjunction with their online media kits thereby allowing online media buyers advertisers to more easily and efficiently analyze a site’s important traffic metrics.”

Publishers wishing to receive the software code can contact BPAInteractiveSupport@bpaww.com.

BPA and Nielsen Online teamed up last year to bundle enhanced, real-time Web site traffic measurement with all print and event audits. It allows members to access information such as page impressions, unique browsers, users’ sessions, unique browser frequency, user session duration, page duration and an executive summary of the above—on an unlimited basis to retrieve nearly-real time data, 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week.

Since its launch, more than 350 media buyers and advertisers have registered to access the tool, which is collecting audited traffic data for more than 450 sites.
