Data Card Quality Continues to Rise in Q3 ‘09

Q3 results show double-digit improvements over last quarter for companies in the 500+ titles category.

Direct marketing tool provider Nextmark Inc. released today its third quarter 2009 Data Card Quality Report, which shows double-digit improvements over last quarter for a few list management companies in the 500+ titles category.

Manning Media International received a score of 98.1 in the third quarter, which is up 24.8 percent from the previous quarter. Paramount Lists received a score of 92.9, up 15.1 percent, and Macromark received a score of 98.1, which is up 14.5 percent.

Edith Roman & ePostDirect were found in the top two spots in the 500+ titles category once again this quarter, both with a perfect score for the second time in a row. ALC came in third with a score of 99.7 followed by Manning Media International, Statlistics (97.9), Macromark and Paramount Lists.

The top list managers with 250-499 titles were Lighthouse List Company, List Bargains, Dunhill International, Media Source Solutions, PCS Mailing List Company, The List Experts and List Connection, which all received a perfect score. The top list managers with 100-249 titles were Integrated Business Services, Complete Medical Lists, eTargetMedia.com, and Political Fundraising Lists, which all received a perfect score, followed by DM2, which received a score of 99.5. Profile America List Company, Direct Market, B2B, NCRI List Management and Options Media Group were the top list managers with 50-99 titles.

The next report will be published in January 2010, when the bar will be raised to account for the high-definition analytics presented in the list profile section of the data card during the fourth quarter of 2009.

Individual data card scores are presently calculated using a weighted average of 13 attributes with an emphasis on recent updates. A list manager's score is the average of all the data card scores in their portfolio.
