Magazine printer Conley Printing has been purchased by Waukesha, Wisconsin-based J.B. Kenehan, a sheetfed and web printer of digest, slim jim and custom-size catalogs, inserts, books and other special projects. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With facilities in Waukesha and Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Conley Printing is a heatset and non-heatset web printer that specializes in national and regional short to medium run length standard and tabloid-size publications, inserts and catalogues. Services include in-line and offline mailing, polybagging, fulfillment and digital publishing.
“For the past six years both companies have worked together utilizing each other’s manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise,” the companies say in a statement announcing the deal. “That close working relationship identified several benefits of bringing the companies together. This acquisition enhances core competencies of both facilities.”
What, if any changes will result from the acquisition were not immediately clear. A Kenehan representative did not immediately return a request seeking comment.
This summer, magazine printer Quad/Graphics completed its acquisition of World Color Press and said it will close five plants before the end of the year, resulting in roughly $225 million in pre-tax savings.
