More Condé Nast Apps Rollout Subscription Functions

Five brands now offer readers paid digital enrollment, three more to go.


Almost all of the expected eight magazine titles publisher Condé Nast is planning to make available on the iPad are now accessible in the App Store and ready for downloadable purchase.
 
“I’m pleased to announce that iPad subscriptions are now available for four additional Condé Nast titles: Vanity Fair, Glamour, Golf Digest and Allure.  Today’s rollout follows last Monday’s successful debut of iPad subscriptions for The New Yorker, which was the top-grossing app for most of the week.  We’re clearly tapping into the enormous appetite consumers have for our award-winning content,” Bob Sauerberg, the company’s CEO, wrote in a letter to his colleagues at Condé Nast.
 
Print subscribers to these publications will have automatic access, with no extra fee incurred, as initially reported by Audience Development. Wired, Self and GQ digital subscriptions will also be available in the coming weeks.
 
The New Yorker’s weekly iPad editions and access to the Web-based edition are $5.99 per month for four issues or $59.99 per year. The bundled subscriptions (Web site, iPad and print access) available at NewYorker.com are $6.99 per month for four issues and $69.99 a year.
 
The other seven titles are $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year through in-app purchase at the App Store.
